VISIT Therapies is led by Frances Smith who graduated
from the University of Wales Institute Cardiff (UWIC) in 2007 with a 1st class
BSc
(Hons) in Complementary Therapies. Frances works as a practitioner within
the NHS and voluntary sector with cancer patients, those with multiple sclerosis
(MS), Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, fibromyalgia, arthritis, mental health problems, strokes,
HIV and drug/alcohol addictions. She also works with carers of those with cancer,
MS and Alzheimer's and is a part-time UWIC tutor in the community.
Prior to qualifying as a complementary therapist she was involved in setting up services in the NHS for specific client needs, studied with the Open University and gained qualifications in Business and Management. VISIT Therapies was established with support obtained from the Welsh Assembly Government
VISIT practitioners are carefully selected and totally committed to providing a professional, caring service. Our practitioners are of the highest calibre and clinically trained in each therapy they practise. VISIT has developed a working partnership with UWIC and many of our practitioners are graduates from UWIC's degree course. All are fully registered members of professional bodies, ie MTI, IFPA, FHT, AoR and dedicated to continuing professional development (CPD). Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance and first aid certificate are all compulsory requirements.
